Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute? I teach them all with an eye on classical technique with a jazz sensibility! I encourage improvisation right away, but don’t let that scare you! Its easier than you think. People who read music and hear it make the best musicians. Here are a couple of facts; 2% of all people are prodogies like Yo-Yo Ma and John Coltrane, 2% cannot carry a tune in a bucket. That leaves you and me in that 96% middle. In the middle with rock stars and symphony players all over the world.
